The LSU Tigers have been looking for a replacement for Joe Brady ever since he left for the Carolina Panthers following the national title game victory.

Now, it appears the Tigers will raid the NFL ranks for their new passing game coordinator, hiring a longtime NFL assistant.

Per college football insider Bruce Feldman, LSU will bring in former Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys OC Scott Linehan to replace Brady:

Linehan last coached in the NFL in 2018 with the Cowboys. He also served as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams from 2006 to 2008.

Linehan is 56 years old, so it’s an interesting choice after having the 30-year-old Brady run the passing game last year. How will Linehan fare in Baton Rouge? The hiring hasn’t been officially announced yet, but if he is indeed the guy, we’ll find out how his offense looks this spring.
