The SEC’s best recruiting class for the 2021 cycle just got better.

That’s because Vanguard High School product Trevonte Rucker announced his commitment to Florida’s 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday. Here’s the statement he shared to announce his decision:

“I am truly blessed to be in this position and truly blessed to make this decision, after having long talks with my family, I came to a conclusion that I am committed to the University of Florida.

“My recruitment is shut down.”

The 5-foot-11, 157-pound native of Ocala, Fla., is rated as the nation’s No. 125 overall prospect and the No. 23 receiver in the country by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s now listed as the highest-rated prospect committed to Florida’s 2021 recruiting class.

The Gators currently hold pledges from 11 prospects in the 2021 cycle with the class rated as the SEC’s best and the nation’s No. 4 class. The class now contains seven recruits rated as four-star prospects following Rucker’s decision to join Dan Mullen’s program.
