Vince Marrow may have recently flirted with the idea of leaving Kentucky for Michigan State after Mel Tucker and the Spartans made a run at Mark Stoops’ best recruiter but it’s clear based on this week’s news on the recruiting trail that Marrow never stopped working hard for the Wildcats despite the interest he received from another program.

Of course, Marrow decided to stay at Kentucky and was handsomely rewarded by the school for doing so. Kentucky’s investment is already paying off as a day after landing a commitment from offensive lineman Paul Rodriguez, the Wildcats just landed a commitment from David Wohlabaugh of Walsh Jesuit in Stow, Ohio.

“After a great talk with Kentucky,” Wohlabaugh tweeted out, “I am excited to say I am committed to the University of Kentucky!!”

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Wohlabaugh is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 29 overall prospect from the state of Ohio by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Wohlabaugh is the third player to commit to Kentucky’s 2021 recruiting cycle and the third from the state of Ohio. Marrow served as the lead recruiter for each of them — Rodriguez, Wohlabaugh and linebacker Devon Williams.
