Believe it or not, South Carolina will begin spring camp this week in Columbia as the Gamecocks will look to move forward and progress following last season’s disaster of a campaign.

While spring practice always brings a certain level of optimism on college campuses, Will Muschamp’s program is no exception following the addition of some outstanding freshmen players and the offseason hiring of offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, the Gamecocks will be down several players this spring.

Muschamp shared the following list of injuries with South Carolina’s 2020 spring camp set to begin this week in Columbia, each of these players will not participate in any of the upcoming camp: receiver Randrecous Davis, linebacker Spencer Eason-Riddle, tight end Nick Muse, offensive line Dylan Wonnum, defensive line J.J. Enagbare, defensive line Tyreek Johnson, linebacker Mohamed Kaba and Colorado State graduate transfer quarterback Collin Hill.

The South Carolina coach did have a positive note to share with all those players, noting “All of those guys will be ready for the summer program” he noted during his Tuesday press conference.

Perhaps most importantly on the injury front, when asked about the status of sophomore quarterback Ryan Hilinski, Muschamp said the team’s young signal-caller is 100 percent heading into spring camp.
