Former Georgia TE Benjamin Watson has been a mainstay in the NFL over the past 16 seasons, playing for the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Saints again and Patriots again.

He amassed 547 catches for 6,058 yards and 44 touchdowns in those 16 seasons, but it seems he has caught his last pass.

As you can see below, Watson announced this week that he was retiring from the NFL. He made his announcement on Twitter with a lengthy note:

Watson played for Georgia from from 2001 to 2003, catching 65 passes for 852 yards and 6 touchdowns.

What the future holds for Watson remains to be seen, but he had a heck of an NFL career.
