According to most NFL analysts, former Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa is the second-best quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft class, behind LSU’s Joe Burrow.

However, notice that the previous sentence says “most” and not “all” analysts. That’s because Chris Simms — a former NFL quarterback himself — has Tagovailoa as the fourth-best prospect in his rankings, behind Burrow, Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Utah State’s Jordan Love.

As you can see in the video below, Simms explained why he ranked the quarterbacks the way he did and why he was lower than most on Tagovailoa (via NBCSports.com):

“It’s a good arm, but it’s not a great arm,” he said. “Again, I think you have to be careful when you watch Alabama. It’s a very good offense schematically, and it has some of the best talent that you’re going to find.

“To pick him at No. 5, man, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that as a GM.”

Will the Miami Dolphins (who hold the No. 5 pick) feel that same way? We’ll find out when the draft comes around at the end of next month.
