While many are suggesting that Tua Tagovailoa may fall with the 2020 NFL Draft quickly approaching, two of ESPN’s most-known NFL insiders are taking the opposite approach.

The 2020 NFL Draft starts on Thursday with Tagovailoa expecting to hear his name called early once the selection process begins. How early should the former Alabama quarterback expect to hear his name called?

If you ask Adam Schefter and Mel Kiper, the celebration at the Tagovailoa household should start early once the draft process begins on Thursday evening.

“I said yesterday, and I’m going to repeat again, I don’t believe Tua gets out of the top 10. I really don’t believe that,” Schefter said on Tuesday during an appearance on ESPN program ‘Get Up.’ “The interesting part again, when we look at this situation is, we talk about Miami at five, one of the scenarios the Dolphins have had to talk about is do they take a really good positional player?

“An offensive tackle, a defensive lineman, do they go for somebody like that then say, we like Jordan Love enough to go get him at 18 or even trade up from 18 to a higher spot. San Francisco at 13 as openly advertising that its willing to move its pick at 13. Could the Dolphins do something like that?”

The way the ESPN NFL insider puts it, teams would be wise to land their signal-caller as soon as possible.

“If you like a guy, you don’t want to get cute here. Go take him at 5 and I think that’s the plan,” Schefter added.

While Mel Kiper Jr. has been dropping Tagovailoa in recent mock drafts, he also believes Tua won’t have to wait very long to hear his name called in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Here’s how Kiper responded when asked what order the quarterbacks will be selected in the upcoming selection process during his appearance on “Get Up.”

“Herbert, Tua is a push really, you could flip them either way – I still have to believe Miami and the Chargers (will take them). But you don’t know,” Kiper answered. “They could, like Adam said, go in a different direction and circle back but I have to go Herbert, Tua then Jordan Love after that.”
