The offensive line overhaul continues in Fayetteville under Sam Pittman as the Razorbacks recently picked up a commitment from Texas lineman Cole Carson.

Fixing the program’s offensive line was one of the biggest challenges facing Pittman upon his arrival in Fayetteville and as the head coach has stated several times after being hired at Arkansas, he starts his evaluation of linemen by studying their size.

Well, Pittman found himself another big prospect in Bogata, Texas as Rivercrest High School standout Cole Carson announced his pledge to join the Razorback program on Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Carson is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 47 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 66 overall prospect in the state of Texas for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

With Carson announcing his decision to commit to the Razorbacks, Pittman’s program now holds commitments from four prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle, which now includes two offensive linemen.

Carson announced his commitment with the following message:

“I’d like to thank all of the schools that have took a chance on me this year and have gotten to know me. I’ve loved meeting all the new people during this process, I’ve thought, prayed and sought the advice of my family and have decided to make my decision on where to further my athletic and academic future: I have decided to commit to the University of Arkansas #WPS.”
