If you thought LSU’s 2019 season was special on the field, just wait and see what some of the best players on that team accomplish in the coming days.

The Tigers are hoping to break the SEC record for most selections in the common era of the NFL Draft and could very well break the national record for the most selection of the common era as picks from Baton Rouge are expected to come flying off the board starting on Thursday.

Alabama currently holds the SEC record for the most selections in a single draft when the Crimson Tide had 12 players selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. The national record is owned by Ohio State, which had 14 players selected in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Joe Burrow appears to be a slam dunk to be the first player taken in the draft while 13 of his teammates are currently rated as top 200 prospects by ESPN’s Scouts, Inc. For what it’s worth, Maurice Jones-Drew of NFL Media has six Tigers going in the first round in his mock draft.

To celebrate the achievements, past and present, of the LSU football program when it comes to the draft, the team has issued a hype video to get draft day started.
