Arkansas didn’t have any players selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft but that doesn’t mean Sam Pittman didn’t.

For all the hype that Jake Fromm and D’Andre Swift have received leading up to the 2020 NFL Draft, it was offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and Isaiah Wilson that heard their names called first during Thursday night’s opening round of the draft.

The coach that recruited and developed those players at Georgia was nearly as excited as they were to hear their names called on Thursday during the draft.

In the video below, Pittman reacts to seeing Thomas go No. 4 overall in the draft to the New York Giants and Wilson go No. 29 overall to the Tennessee Titans.

“First lineman taken,” Pittman says to Thomas in the video below, “how many years you been in college?”

Thomas: “Three.”

Pittman: “Three? Don’t it usually take four?”

Thomas: “Yes sir!”

Talk about a recruiting pitch for the Razorback coaching staff.

Pittman also exchanged an emotional moment with Wilson and his family in the video.

“I told you in recruiting, you’s going to be a first-rounder and by golly, you did it. You did it, I didn’t, you did it,” Pittman says to Wilson.

What a moment that these players will never forget.
