LSU has started its own run on the recruiting trail in recent days as Ed Orgeron’s program just picked up a commitment from one of the top running back prospects in the nation on Monday as Cincinnati native Corey Kiner as pledged to join the LSU program.

Kiner announced his decision during a small ceremony with his family.

The Ohio running back’s decision comes after fellow four-star prospects Garrett Nussmeier, an elite quarterback from Texas, and Zavier Carter, an elite defensive end from Georgia, announced their commitments to LSU in recent days.

The Roger Bacon High School product is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 10 running back in the country and the No. 7 overall prospect from Ohio in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

During his high school career, Kiner has over 6,000 all-purpose yards and is already the leading rusher and scorer in Roger Bacon High School history. He once scored eight touchdowns in a single game.
