Back in May, former Georgia CB DeAndre Baker was arrested on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Since then, Baker’s attorney, Patrick Patel, has been working to get those charges dropped. And, now, it seems Patel is confident he’ll succeed in that quest.

Per SNY.tv, Patel thinks it is only a matter of time before the case is won by Baker’s team:

“I think we’ve got the case won, to be honest with you. I think it’s only a matter of time,” Patel said. “But it’s the kid’s life. This kid will get suspended and lose his job, and then the case gets dismissed and what have we done? So everybody’s taking a wait and see approach.”

Baker was told to stay away from the New York Giants while he deals with the legal issues. We’ll see if he is welcomed back pending the outcome of the case.

The Giants selected Baker in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
