No days off: QB coach shares video of Jarrett Guarantano training during time away from Tennessee
Entering his fifth and final season at Tennessee, Jarrett Guarantano has only one more opportunity to showcase his talent on the college gridiron.
While the senior has struggled with consistency throughout his career as a Volunteer, the New Jersey native possesses all the tools to be a successful player during his final season on Rocky Top. Now he just has to maximize his talent and have confidence in his ability to perform on the field.
Many Tennessee fans are quick to point out that despite having been at Tennessee for five seasons, Guarantano has never had the opportunity to work with the same offensive coordinator for two consecutive seasons. He’ll have that chance in 2020 with Jim Chaney returning for his second season on Jeremy Pruitt’s staff.
But success on the football field doesn’t come easy and continuity isn’t enough to guarantee results. The work has to be put in and that’s something the senior clearly understands as he’s spending his time away from Tennessee’s campus on the holiday weekend to work on his craft. If you were unaware, Tennessee’s players were given a three-day weekend for the Fourth of July.
During his time away from Knoxville, Guarantano is working with QB coach, Tony Racioppi.
On Friday, Racioppi shared these videos of Guarantano slinging the ball.

Being a leader on the football field and the locker room takes hard work and it’s got to be reassuring for Tennessee fans to know Guarantano is putting the work to improve his game before he embarks on his final season in Knoxville.
