When presented with the opportunity to jump from Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss program to Kirby Smart’s Georgia program, Adonai Mitchell didn’t hesitate.

The Tennessee native announced his commitment to Georgia on Monday.

In fact, according to Mitchell in a recent Tennesseean article, the Tennessee native decommitted from the Rebels months ago and has been deciding between Georgia and Auburn since mid-May.

The Cane Ridge High School standout from Antioch, Tenn., is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 61 receiver in the nation and a top 400 prospect nationally in 2021 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Mitchell’s pledge gives Georgia 11 total commitments for the 2021 recruiting cycle.

In his two most recent seasons on the high school gridiron, his sophomore season was spent at Fort Bend Ridge Point in Texas before moving to Tennessee, Mitchell has caught 74 passes for 1,173 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Based on Mitchell’s junior season highlight reel, Georgia’s five-star quarterback commit Brock Vandagriff has to be happy to have the playmaker from Tennessee join the latest Bulldog recruiting class.
