This fall, South Carolina’s offensive backfield is going to be unrecognizable from what Gamecock fans witnessed during the 2019 season.

Tavien Feaster, Rico Dowdle and Mon Denson are all gone while touted true freshman MarShawn Lloyd and Colorado State graduate transfer fullback Adam Prentice are now poised to join the starting lineup in Mike Bobo’s offense.

We all know that in the Southeastern Conference, depth at the running back position is key to an offense’s success and that’s why the offseason addition of the nation’s No. 1 junior college prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle, ZaQuandre White, was so big for Will Muschamp’s program.

In addition to rating as the nation’s top JUCO running back, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound White rated as the No. 15 overall junior college prospect after signing with South Carolina.

While his arrival to campus was delayed, White has officially been cleared academically to join the Gamecocks and is expected to arrive in time for the start of the team’s upcoming training camp.

White, a native of North Fort Myers, Fla., originally signed with Florida State out of high school but left that program for the junior college ranks. Last fall, White played for Iowa Western Community College and rushed for 876 yards on 137 attempts (good for an average of nearly 6.4 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Here is a look at White’s senior season highlight reel back when he was in high school.
