With fall camp starting Monday across the SEC, the Arkansas Razorbacks are going to have to answer some big questions in a hurry.

One of them will involve the quarterback position, where Florida graduate transfer Feleipe Franks enters fall camp as the presumed starter.

On Friday, new OC Kendal Briles said there’s no rush to make a decision, but did say Franks enters camp as the frontrunner (via Rivals.com):

While head coach Sam Pittman made a point last week to say that the graduate transfer from Florida wasn’t the starter yet, offensive coordinator Kendal Briles admitted it was “his job to lose” in a video conference Friday.

“I think it’s going to take a couple of weeks to figure out exactly which guy we feel like can lead us to victories,” Briles said. “You’ve got to get in the fire, you’ve got to go in scrimmages and obviously we’re going to protect our quarterbacks, so they’re not going to get hit.”

Franks, of course, suffered a serious, season-ending injury at Florida last year, paving the way for Kyle Trask to take over as the starter.

Now that Arkansas and Florida will square off again this season, it’ll be interesting to see if Franks can win the starting job and upset his former team.
