Will Muschamp has got Mike Bobo’s back.

If you missed it, a report from the Fort Collins Coloradoan claims Bobo made “racially insensitive” comments during his time running the Colorado State program and helped foster a toxic culture within the Ram program that has extended to the current coaching staff.

It should be noted that many of Bobo’s former CSU players have come out and denied those stories, along with many of his former Georgia players.

That’s been a common theme following the report as many coaches and analysts that have worked with Bobo have come out and defended the South Carolina offensive coordinator’s character.

Now, we can add Muschamp to that list.

During his Monday press conference, Muschamp was asked to share the latest on Bobo and his status in Columbia.

“As far as the Mike Bobo situation, those claims, to me, are completely absurd,” Muschamp said in response to the allegations against Bobo. “I’ve known Mike since 1993, he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. That’s all I’ll really comment at this time.

“I look forward to commenting further but I really don’t want to give the article any more credibility because it doesn’t deserve any.”

The South Carolina coach didn’t really hold back on that one.
