Texas A&M has suffered its first opt-out for the coming season, Jimbo Fisher announced on Tuesday, as quarterback James Foster does not plan to play for the Aggies this fall.

You may recall Foster recently entered the NCAA transfer portal but made the decision to return to the Aggies for the 2020 season. Foster is expected to remain in the transfer portal.

Foster appeared in four games last season for the Aggies following a redshirt season in 2018. During his time in College Station, Foster has completed two of five passes for 25 yards with two rushes for 17 yards.

Foster is the only player that has opted out of the season for the Aggies thus far.

A native of Montgomery, Ala., Foster signed with Texas A&M over scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU and Florida State.
