It’s a good time to be a former SEC cornerback in the NFL. Recently, former LSU CB Tre’Davious White landed a massive extension with the Buffalo Bills.

On Thursday, it was ex-Alabama standout Marlon Humphrey’s turn to get paid. The Baltimore Ravens standout reportedly agreed to a 5-year extension that will have him among the game’s best-paid corners.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 5-year extension will pay him $19.5 million per season with a total of $66 million in guarantees:

Now in his fourth year in the NFL, Humphrey has appeared in 49 games for the Ravens, recording 8 interceptions (including 1 this year already). He has 4 forced fumbles, 2 defensive touchdowns, 44 pass breakups and 150 total tackles on his resume.

Will he live up to the contract? If he keeps playing like he has the first 3+ seasons, he definitely will.
