Arkansas will be down a veteran defensive back for Week 2 and the rest of the 2020 season.

On Thursday, Jarques McClellion announced on Twitter that he is sitting out the rest of the season, detailing the impact of COVID-19 on him and his family over the past few months:

A Florida native and American Heritage product, McClellion joined the Razorbacks in 2017 and redshirted his first year on his campus. He played in all 24 games of the 2018 and ’19 seasons, starting 21 contests.

In his UA career, McClellion has recorded 59 total tackles and an interception.
