Despite Georgia’s loss to Florida on Nov. 7 in the annual Cocktail Party game in Jacksonville, Zamir White provided a major highlight for the Dawgs: he took the opening play from scrimmage 75 yards for a touchdown to give his team an early lead.

If White ending up in the end zone seems like a familiar sight, that’s because it is. Georgia’s media relations team on Friday noted one key stat on Twitter that no other player in the SEC can claim: White is the only running back in the conference that has scored a rushing touchdown in each game in 2020.

The redshirt sophomore has yet to record a multiple-touchdown game at the collegiate level, but he is tied with a host of players for 8th in the country in rushing touchdowns. He is 1 of 4 SEC running backs with at least 7 scores on the ground.

The Laurinburg, N.C. native would have loved to add to that total on Saturday against Missouri in a game that ended up postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Tigers football program. He’ll have a shot in the Dawgs’ next scheduled game on Nov. 21 as they host Mississippi State.
