Alabama just completed the first 10-0, all-SEC regular season in the history of the program.

That is a record that may never be matched but was it enough to lock up a spot in the upcoming College Football Playoff?

ESPN college football analysts Jesse Palmer and Joey Galloway believe it is.

Here is what the two analysts had to say about the Crimson Tide after beating Arkansas 52-3 in Fayetteville on Saturday.

“If you are Alabama, guys, to me, they are in the College Football Playoff now,” Palmer said during a studio segment. “They’ve been No. 1 in every (Playoff) ranking so far. They are easily the most dominant team in the country.

“It’s hard to imagine even if they lose to the Florida Gators the (Playoff) committee would move them all the way down from one to outside the top four. So at this point, I think there’s three spots to play for.”

Is that statement too bold considering Alabama still has the 2020 SEC Championship Game to play?

Galloway doesn’t believe so.

“I agree with you,” Galloway responded to Palmer. “It doesn’t matter what happens against Florida, although that will be a great game to watch. Kyle Trask, the way he’s playing in the offense. It could be 55-54, it’s going to be that good, but Alabama is as good as anyone.”

Nick Saban isn’t going to appreciate these rat poison comments.
