It’s official, Demarkcus Bowman has landed in Gainesville.

Gators fans can stop holding their collective breath as the talented Clemson transfer from Lakeland, Fla., has finally made his way to Gainesville.

Bowman made the decision to transfer from Clemson to Florida back in October but there was some speculation regarding his status with Dan Mullen’s program until the moment he arrived on campus. Bowman moved into his new home in Gainesville this weekend and is expected to begin classes at Florida on Monday, according to Blake Alderman of 247Sports.

The former touted recruit from Lakeland High School was rated as the nation’s No. 3 running back and the No. 20 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Bowman signed with Clemson over Florida and Alabama.

During his short time with Clemson, Bowman rushed just nine times for 32 yards.

With the Gators struggling to rush the ball at times last season, Dameon Pierce led the team with just 503 total rushing yards and backup quarterback Emory Jones finished third on the team in rushing with 217 yards on the ground, Mullen’s offense could certainly use a boost that Bowman projects to give them on the field in 2021.

Speaking of Mullen, he was busy welcoming the new Gators to Gainesville on Saturday:
