After opting out of the 2020 season, former Mizzou wide receiver CJay Boone has settled on a new program to continue his college football career. On Saturday, Boone tweeted a commitment announcement to New Mexico.

A redshirt freshman backup receiver from St. Louis, Boone opted out in late September ahead of Mizzou’s season-opener against Alabama.

In October, he announced he would be entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Out of Parkway North, Boone was rated 3-stars, the No. 9 recruit in Missouri, No. 64 wide receiver and No. 536 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite. New Mexico was one of the nine other programs to offer him a scholarship out of high school.
