Ole Miss just took a step closer to finalizing its 2028 and 2029 non-conference schedules.

That’s because the Rebels just announced a new home-and-home series with BYU. The two programs have only met one time, with BYU beating Ole Miss 14-13 in the 2011 season opener for the Rebels in Oxford.

The first game in the upcoming series is set to take place in Provo, Utah, as Ole Miss will play the Cougars on Sept. 16, 2028.

BYU is then set to make the return trip to Oxford the following season with the series concluding on Sept. 8, 2029, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

One thing to note when it comes to scheduling BYU, SEC programs must schedule at least one Power 5 non-conference opponent each season. While BYU is an independent program, they qualify as a Power 5 opponent when it comes to scheduling per SEC rules.

Following this news, here is a look at some of the non-conference games Ole Miss has on its schedules in the seasons to come.
