When it comes to a receiver carrying an offense, only DeVonta Smith could claim to have done more to help his team last season than Elijah Moore.

While Smith led the nation in receptions (117), receiving yards (1,856) and receiving touchdowns (23), Moore finished second nationally in both receptions (86) and receiving yards (1,193) last season.

The Ole Miss receiver also accomplished that feat playing in just eight games, as opposed to the 13 games that Smith appeared in.

Now with the 2021 NFL Draft quickly approaching, Smith is deservedly garnering attention as one of the top overall prospects and perhaps the first receiver to be taken during the selection process. But Moore is nowhere to be found in that same discussion.

One run isn’t likely to change that but it certainly could help his cause.

According to several in attendance of the Ole Miss Pro Day on Thursday, Moore just posted a 4.34 40-yard dash time.

The only player that posted a faster time at the 2020 NFL Combine was Alabama’s Henry Ruggs, who ran a 4.27 40-yard dash time. No other prospect ran faster than 4.34 at the event.
