Alabama may have won its latest national championship back in January but the Crimson Tide did not receive the actual trophy until recently.

The AFCA shared its virtual presentation of the award to Saban on Wednesday, which featured Saban’s acceptance speech.

While Saban was the one that was virtually handed the award, the Alabama coach put the focus on his team and their ability to overcome all the challenges that 2020 presented them in his acceptance speech.

“This team had tremendous togetherness, they overcame tremendous adversity. I told them early on, ‘Whoever handles the disruptions of COVID is going to come out on top in the end.’ And I couldn’t have been more proud of the way this team did everything they needed to do.”
