It’s a big weekend for South Carolina Gamecocks with baseball facing No. 1 Arkansas and the football team set to hit the field for the first spring game under head coach Shane Beamer. Mother Nature, however, has led a schedule shakeup. Due to Saturday’s forecast, the baseball series finale was bumped up to Friday in a doubleheader while the spring football game was moved to Sunday.

On Friday night, Beamer was out at Founders Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

On the diamond, Arkansas and South Carolina split the first two games of the series. Arkansas won Thursday’s series opener 6-1. The Gamecocks evened the series with a 6-2 win in Game 1 of Friday’s doubleheader. Arkansas leads the rubber game 4-1 through six innings. The game is streaming on SEC Network+.
