Patrick Peterson announces he is going back to his LSU jersey number
The NFL has changed its rules and restrictions regarding jersey numbers and Patrick Peterson is wasting no time to take advantage of the opportunity.
On Sunday, Peterson revealed that with the Vikings he will be sporting No. 7, his LSU jersey number that started the Tiger tradition. Peterson wore No. 21 for 10 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.

While the uniforms are obviously different, LSU fans will probably enjoy seeing Peterson wearing No. 7 in purple and white jerseys again.

The NFL’s new rule, passed earlier this week, allows defensive backs to chose between 1-49 for jersey numbers. Defensive backs were previously not allowed to wear single-digit jersey numbers.
