Less than a week removed from his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal, Ronald Williams has already found a new home.

The former Alabama defensive back played just one season in Tuscaloosa following an All-American season at Hutchinson Community College and signing with Nick Saban’s program during the 2020 recruiting cycle. Williams was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 4 JUCO cornerback in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

After enrolling at Alabama, Williams appeared in three games for the Crimson Tide, seeing the field against Mississippi State, Kentucky and Arkansas. He did not record any stats during his time in Tuscaloosa.

Following his decision to enter the transfer portal last week, Williams has announced he will continue his college football career at Michigan State.

Now he’ll have an opportunity to play in a similar defense playing for former Saban assistant Mel Tucker in East Lansing.
