For the first time since 1995, Tennessee has advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Baseball Tournament.

The Vols did so in impressive fashion, beating Alabama 11-0 on Friday with the game being called early in the seventh inning due to the run rule.

This result has to be extra sweet for Tennessee fans after Wednesday’s controversial ending resulted in an Alabama win in extra innings during the first matchup between these two in Hoover.

Tennessee will now face Florida on Saturday for the right to advance to the SEC Tournament Championship Game.

Vols pitcher Blade Tidwell earned the win as he pitched six scoreless innings, striking out five batters and walking just two against Alabama.

Tennessee hit four home runs in the game with a total of 11 hits against the Crimson Tide.
