Departing Tennessee defensive back/wide receiver Kenney Solomon has made a transfer commitment.

Solomon tweeted Saturday that he has pledged to Tulsa. The commitment comes nearly three weeks after it was first reported that Solomon had entered his name into the transfer portal.

Per his 247Sports recruiting profile, Solomon was a 3-star cornerback in the class of 2019 with 23 scholarship offers. His UT bio stated he initially joined the program as a walk-on, earning a scholarship in November 2019.

Solomon appeared in all 10 games of Tennessee’s 2020 season, contributing primarily on special teams. He also played 11 games of the 2019 campaign. Solomon’s UT bio says he switched from defensive back to wide receiver during the open week of the 2020 season. He recorded his first-career rush in the Volunteers’ win at Vanderbilt. As a defender, he had two tackles and an interception.
