A foot injury has hampered the progress of Missouri wide receiver Mookie Cooper this year. Cooper suffered the injury in fall camp and, despite playing in 4 games thus far, hasn’t been able to be fully involved in the offense.

However, Tigers fans received some good news from head coach Eli Drinkwitz during his call-in radio show on Wednesday. It appears that the redshirt freshman has recovered and will be full-go against North Texas on Saturday.

“He’s full speed. He’s ready to go. We look forward to him playing,” Drinkwitz said. “He’s not held back at all. He’s ready to play.”

Cooper has made 10 catches for 95 yards, with his best outing coming in a 4-catch, 64-yard afternoon against Southeast Missouri State. He didn’t play against Tennessee, though, but all signs point to his availability against the Mean Green.

Kickoff between Mizzou and North Texas is set for 4 p.m. ET Saturday from Columbia.
