After pledging to Florida in July, a 4-star in-state running back has now decommitted from the Gators.

Winter Park (Florida) running back Terrance Gibbs made the announcement Tuesday evening via his Twitter account.

Gibbs is listed at 6-feet, 190 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 21 running back, No. 29 Florida product and No. 254 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Gibbs’ recruiting profile lists scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Gibbs transferred to Winter Park in 2020 ahead of his junior season. He missed the 2020 season after tearing his ACL in preseason practices. Gibbs missed the majority of his senior season rehabbing the injury, per Blake Alderman of 247Sports.

Gibbs is the third player to decommit from Florida after Dan Mullen’s firing, following 4-star ATH Isaiah Bond and 3-star ATH Jamarrien Burt.
