John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats went to LSU on Tuesday night and lost 65-60 to the Tigers.
The Wildcats caught a tough break early, as star PG Sahvir Wheeler crashed into an LSU screener and had to leave the game.
On his radio show on Wednesday night, Calipari updated Wheeler’s status, saying the star guard has a neck injury and is day-to-day. Coach Cal also added that it’s not likely he’ll play vs. Georgia this weekend:
On his weekly radio show tonight, Kentucky coach John Calipari says PG Sahvir Wheeler has a neck injury and is considered day-to-day. He's assuming he won't play against Georgia and has to prepare that way, even if he's able to come back.

That’s a big loss for the Wildcats if he can’t go against his old team on Saturday, as he’s one of the best assist men in the game.
So far this year, Wheeler is averaging 9.6 points, 7.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.
