Jimbo Fisher is reportedly adding a former college football head coach to his Aggie staff.

Steve Addazio will be Texas A&M’s new offensive line coach, according to TexAgs’ Billy Liucci.

Addazio, 62, has been coaching since 1985. He was a head coach from 2011-21, most recently at Colorado State (2020-21). He has multiple decades of experience coaching offensive linemen. Addazio coached offensive linemen on Urban Meyer’s Florida staff when the Gators won 2 national championships.

In 2006, UF’s first title under Meyer, Addazio coached tackles and tight ends. For the 2007 and ’08 seasons, Addazio coached the whole offensive line. In those 2 seasons, Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy (2007) and UF picked up its second national title under Meyer (2008). After the departure of Dan Mullen, Addazio added offensive coordinator responsibilities for the 2009 and ’10 seasons.

Addazio was the head coach at Temple for 2 seasons (2011-12) and Boston College for 7 seasons (2013-19). CSU went 4-12 over the last 2 seasons, dropping Addazio’s record as a head coach to 61-67.
