TyTy Washington left Saturday’s Kentucky-Auburn game in the first half with an ankle injury.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to return, and now Kentucky fans wait to hear the prognosis on the star freshman, who has developed into a team leader in SEC play.

Fortunately, though, according to insider Adam Zagoria, Washington is day-to-day with the injury and will be frequently reassessed:

Washington has appeared in 19 games this year, starting all of them. He’s averaging 13.6 points, 4.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.

How long he’s out remains to be seen, but the Wildcats will need him back soon if they’re going to stay within striking distance of Auburn atop the SEC standings.
