Zep Jasper, Auburn PG, reportedly makes 2022-23 season plans
Zep Jasper is reportedly planning on returning to Auburn for another season. College basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports shared the news Saturday.
Jasper would be a sixth-year “super senior” applying the NCAA’s COVID waiver for 2020. He spent 4 seasons at Charleston (2017-21), arriving at Auburn as a redshirt senior ahead of the 2021-22 season.
With the Tigers, Jasper appeared in 32 games this season, all starts, helping Auburn win the SEC regular-season title and reach the NCAA Tournament. Per game, Jasper averaged 2.1 assists and 5.1 points on 35.2% field-goal shooting over 23 minutes. Jasper shines as an on-ball defender. This season, he recorded 23 steals. Jasper’s season highs included 15 points (Ole Miss), 6 assists (Loyola Chicago) and 5 steals (Nebraska).
Zep Jasper tells me that he is currently planning to use his additional year of eligibility and return to Auburn next season.
