South Carolina reportedly loses another receiver to the transfer portal

South Carolina has lost several backups to the transfer portal after the conclusion of spring practices, and that trend continued on Wednesday.
So far, the Gamecocks have reportedly lost 3 defensive lineman, TE E.J. Jenkins and WR Eric Shaw to the portal.
On Wednesday, Chris Hummer of 247Sports reported that WR Rico Powers, a former 4-star recruit in the Gamecocks’ 2020 class, had entered his name in the portal, too:

In 2 years with the Gamecocks, Powers has recorded 4 total catches for 31 yards. It seems he wasn’t thrilled with where he stood on the depth chart at the conclusion of spring practices, so we’ll see where he ends up next year.
