Mississippi State is bringing the stripeout back in the 2022 season.

MSU is calling on fans to stripeout Davis Wade Stadium for the battle of the Bulldogs when defending national champion Georgia visits Starkville on Nov. 12. Mississippi State last held a stripeout for the 2018 Louisiana Tech game.

The Bulldogs released a “what to wear guide” for 2022 home games on Monday via the team’s official Twitter account. In addition to the stripeout, MSU also has special plans for the Texas A&M game (maroon lower level, white upper level), Arkansas (true maroon) and Auburn (whiteout). All other home games are listed as maroon or white.

The 2022 season will be the third of Mike Leach’s tenure. The Bulldogs finished the 2021 campaign 7-6, falling in the Liberty Bowl to Texas Tech. Leach’s squad opens the season at home against Memphis on Sept. 3. The game is set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff time, airing on ESPNU.
