Andy Jean is heading up the road to play in the SEC. The 4-star wide receiver out of Miami Northwestern High School announced his commitment to Florida while on campus in Gainesville.

Listed at 6-1, 180 pounds, Jean is the No. 42 wide receiver, No. 64 Sunshine State recruit and No. 332 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. After picking up 30 scholarship offers, Jean named Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Texas A&M as his top 5 teams earlier this month.

Billy Napier got some help from one of his former Crimson Tide wide receivers with recruiting Jean to Florida. Amari Cooper, who also played at Miami Northwestern, recently sent a video message to Jean encouraging him to connect with Tiger Jones, who holds the title of director of speed improvement and skill development on Napier’s UF staff. Jones helped train Cooper for the NFL Scouting Combine.

On July 12, Jean shared Cooper’s message on his Instagram account:

“Tiger Jones say you got the full package. That’s the Tiger Jones,” Cooper said. “The one who trained me. Got me right mentally, physically, everything for the combine. So, tap in with that boy at the University of Florida. He’s doing his thing; you’re doing your thing. Even if it’s just a quick (conversation), he’s going to get you right mentally. Tap in with that boy.”

Jean is commitment No. 16 for Florida and the fourth of the past 3 days. His junior-season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
