Devon Achane is ready for whatever comes next.

The third-year running back has been lightning in a bottle for Texas A&M in his first two seasons. In limited action as a freshman, Achane averaged 8.5 yards per carry and nearly 10 yards per touch overall.

Last season Achane saw an increased share of carries, rushing for 910 yards and 9 touchdowns on 130 carries (7.0 ypc), adding 281 yards receiving on 24 catches.

With the Aggies looking to breakthrough in the SEC and start competing for championships, Achane should expect to have a major role on the offense. The former 4-star prospect out of Missouri City, Texas, said he will be prepared regardless of the situation (courtesy of TexAgs.com):

Given his trajectory going into this season, it’s very possible Achane could put up some very gaudy numbers in his third year. But any talk of awards or Heisman doesn’t seem to be where his current mindset is.

Aggie fans, what are your thought on Achane as the feature back in the offense for this season?
