Sam Pittman said prior to Saturday’s game against Cincinnati that, “some guys bring iced tea, and some guys bring liquor.”

Well, it seems like he figured out what the Bearcats’ offense was bringing. Arkansas downed Cincinnati 31-24 Saturday evening behind a strong performance from KJ Jefferson.

And Pittman is gonna celebrate.

And I’d say he deserved it. The Razorbacks had their work cut out for them against Luke Fickell’s squad Saturday. Despite jumping to a 14-0 lead at halftime, the Razorbacks let the Bearcats crawl right back in it, having a chance late to get the ball back down just one possession.

Jefferson wasn’t having it though. He solidified himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the SEC, throwing for 3 touchdowns and rushing for one with 223 yards through the air.

Arkansas faces South Carolina next week looking to improve to 2-0.
