Tennessee is down to 4 running backs after the loss of Lyn-J Dixon before the season even started. On Tuesday, the Vols announced that Princeton Fant will be taking reps in practice as an emergency running back.
Fant has the build of a fullback, and could certainly be a reasonable pick should the need ever arise. Vols fans, you should really hope that need never arises.
#Vols RB coach Jerry Mack said TE Princeton Fant took some reps at running back in practice today in order to be ready as an emergency running back.
Said he looked good in the process.

Another idea could be Jeremy Banks if even Fant doesn’t work out. Banks was a running back before switching to linebacker following his freshman season.
