Former Florida OL Jawaan Taylor dedicating 2022 season to late father
Former Florida OL Jawaan Taylor’s 2022 began in heartbreaking fashion when his father passed away on Jan. 18. Taylor has been on a mission since then, working to get better on the football field.
Taylor is in his fourth professional season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. A second-round selection at No. 35 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, Taylor was an all-rookie team selection his first season.
This offseason, however, it was widely expected that Taylor would lose his starting spot to Walker Little. Taylor, though, won the job in camp and has been a standout performer on the Jaguars’ line through a 2-1 start to the 2022 season.
