Shane Beamer discusses struggling offense, plans to get Jaheim Bell on the field more
Shane Beamer was the first to admit it. Jaheim Bell needs more targets for South Carolina football.
Missouri dismantled South Carolina and took home the Mayor’s Cup because the Gamecocks were unable to get anything going on offense. Would Bell have single-handily fixed that problem? Likely not. But he would have at least given the Gamecocks a pulse in what was a truly awful offensive performance.
Beamer addressed the issue Tuesday, saying it falls on the coaches to get the right personnel in there for every circumstance.
Beamer on zero targets for Jaheim Bell in the Mizzou loss:
“To me…Jaheim needs to be more on the field than what he was on Saturday. That’s on me. I’m the head coach.”
Says it’s simply an issue of personnel as they look to work in so many names.@wachfox

Bell, a widely talented tight end with enough size to outmatch opponents, has just 13 receptions for 157 yards this season. As stated above, he was not targeted once in South Carolina’s 23-10 loss.
