Harold Perkins is having quite the afternoon for LSU against Arkansas on Saturday.

The true freshman linebacker has been everywhere defensively, and he’s a big reason why the Razorbacks have managed just 3 points on the afternoon, getting to Razorbacks quarterbacks 3 times.

Kelly picked up a major recruiting win during the traditional signing period in flipping the  Houston-area product and former 5-star recruit from Texas A&M to LSU. So far, it’s paying off as Perkins has made an immediate impact.

The Tigers will enjoy the services of Perkins for at least 2 more seasons. ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay is liking what he’s seeing thus far, predicting where Perkins might end up when his college career is up:

It will be interesting to revisit McShay’s tweet at the end of the 2024 season. For now, at least, LSU fans will have the benefit of watching a player who appears to be a star in the making for the Tigers’ defense.
