The Texas A&M season has been a major letdown, to say the least.

Jimbo Fisher landed the No. 1 recruiting class in the country heading into the 2022 season. On top of that, the Aggies were projected to challenge for a spot near the top of the SEC West, if not push for a College Football Playoff berth altogether.

But Fisher and the Aggies have been nowhere close. An early-season loss to the Sun Belt’s Appalachian State turned out to be a foreshadowing of one of the worst years in the program’s history, as A&M is 3-7 overall and 1-6 in the SEC. It entered Saturday’s game against UMass — whose only win was against FCS Stony Brook — on a 6-game losing streak.

But the Aggies struggled to get much going on the scoreboard against a Minutemen squad they should be having no trouble with, only leading 10-3 at halftime. And fans used their feet to show their frustration.

Take a look at this photo from The Eagle’s Alex Miller during halftime:

This certainly looks to be more than a halftime visit to the concession stand or the weather. Fans are overwhelmingly disappointed with the way the season has gone, so much so that they feel their Saturdays are better spent elsewhere.

Even if Texas A&M beats UMass, the fact that it was in such a tight game in the first place only boosts the criticism surrounding Fisher.
