Well, he is a student, after all.

South Carolina forward Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk barely made it before tip to the Gamecocks’ game against George Washington University in Washington D.C. Wednesday night. He was late because he had to take an in-person exam and was trying to fly into Washington before tip-off.

He made it with just barely any time to spare before starting against the Colonials.

Bosmans-Verdonk, a 6-foot-8 power forward/center who transferred from Illinois at the end of last season, has yet to really get his game going on the court for the Gamecocks. A skilled rebounder, Bosmans-Verdonk has struggled to score consistently for Lomont Paris’ squad so far.

He’s totaled 19 points in 5 games.
