Spencer Rattler and the South Carolina offense came alive in the final 2 games of the regular season, lifting the Gamecocks to upset wins over Tennessee and Clemson. South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer points to a change in mental approach.

Beamer joined Saturday’s “SEC Nation” on the SEC Network. When discussing his team’s big finish, Beamer said that for Rattler it was all about playing looser and not worrying about miscues.

Rattler completed over 70% of his passes against Tennessee and Clemson, throwing for nearly 800 yards with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 8-2.

South Carolina, now 8-4 on the season, enters its bowl games as one of the hottest teams in the country. Rattler and the Gamecocks will learn their bowl assignment on Sunday.
